Faculty Only Effort Reporting Training (Effort Reporting System Certifiers and Effort Refresher for Certifiers) Certificate
Effort Reporting Training Bundle includes the courses: Effort Reporting System-Certifiers and Effort Refresher for Certifiers.
The Effort Reporting Training will cover the regulations, sponsor expectations, and University policies regarding effort on sponsored awards and effort reporting. These courses are required for all faculty (PIs, Co-PIs, key personnel, etc.) in research focused departments prior to the account setup of sponsored awards for the named individuals.
The courses will review calculating effort, the payroll and the effort reporting cycle, and the consequences of noncompliance.
- The Effort Reporting System Certifiers is required for all Faculty’s initial training.
- The Effort Refresher for Certifiers is required to be taken every five years.
Staff
Effort Reporting for Certifiers E-Course
This course will cover the regulations, sponsor expectations, and University policies regarding effort on sponsored awards and effort reporting. This course is required for all faculty (PIs, Co-PIs, key personnel, etc.) in research focused departments prior to the account setup of sponsored awards for the named individuals.
Effort Reporting for Administrators – Support Staff
This course is for administrative support staff and covers how to calculate effort, the payroll and the effort reporting cycle, and the consequences of noncompliance.
Effort Refresher for Certifiers
This course will review calculating effort, the payroll and the effort reporting cycle, and the consequences of noncompliance. This course should only be taken once the Effort Reporting for Certifiers E-Course has been passed.
Payroll Cost Transfers E-Forms
This course explains how employees have their pay charged to specific, and sometimes multiple cost objects in SAP.
Non Payroll Cost Transfers
The Non Payroll Cost Transfer course will help the participant understand the journal transfer process and the four journal transfer types, namely, Expense, Equipment, Revenue and the Non Recurring Cost Allocation.
